Luís Queiró is one of the founding partners of Eupportunity and an European Affairs consult-ant.
Luis took his Degree in Law at Universidade de Coimbra and since 1983 is a practicing law-yer. In Portugal, Luis was a legal advisor for the Ministries of Agriculture (1979), National De-fence (1980), Internal Administration (1981) and at the Office of the Vice-Prime Minister and Ministry of National Defence (1981/82).
He worked as a lawyer for ANA, EP – Aeroportos e Navegação Aérea for 10 years (beginning in 1982) and as a legal consultant in Santa Casa da Misericórdia from 1992 to 1995.
From 1995 to 1999 he was a Member of the Portuguese Parliament, elected for CDS-PP and he served as Parliamentary Leader between 1998 and 1999. From 1999 to 2009 he was a Member of the European Parliament serving as Vice-President of the UEN Parliamentary Group and a member of the Bureau of the EPP Parliamentary Group and Vice-President of the Commitee on Transport and Tourism.
In 2009 Luis published the book Tempo Europeu.
